He was one of the best to ever come through the ACC. I don't think he was overrated, but he wasn't the best 3pt shooter that many made him out to be.That distinction (IMO) clearly belongs to Salim Stoudamire. Stoudamire's exploits behind the arc were totally overshadowed due to the hype surroundingRedick. I think there was a definite bias due to where Stoudamire played, and not many people were awake to see what he could do because of the timedifference.

Grand total of 13-60, which means he shot 21.6% in games where Duke was eliminated from the NCAA tournament. I don't like Duke, so JJ shooting them out ofthe NCAA tournament would make him appreciated by me...

JJ was THAT MAN @ DURHAM... Everytime he pulled up I thought it was good... I used to OD with him in March Madness I'd pull up from damn near any andeverywhere with JJ once we past half court. I remember I was playing my cousin and we have a 20pt mercy rule... I hit 7 3's in a span of 1:15 and took himoff the sticks NH talk about being tight

Same thing with Adam Morrison; he's still hated for those same reasons. Morrison has carried his "swag" into the NBA, although heobviously hasn't had the same success.

People don't like seeing a white dude with long hair and a goofy mustache taking all the shots he wants and being fiery on the court, and that's thetruth.

neither of them won a chip...but i think they were jus as threatening to opposing teams...but salims shot selection was horrible compared to JJ's not tomention duke had much better teams than 'zona.
