Honestly, i dont know for sure but imo Cole doesnt seem like the kinda dude that be feelin Pharells typa beats. Im sure he was honored to be in the studio for him and out of respect recorded a track, had fun and enjoyed the experience. But he was probably never intending on using it for his album, it probably just doesnt mix in well with the rest of his own music.
And for the Jim Jonsin beat...im sure it was phenominal, i believe him when he says it was. If it doesnt make the album it has to be a budget reason. Jonsin's beats aint cheap these days, and im sure the label aint gonna load off on that kinda dough for cole on his debut especially when commercially WHO DAT aint successful. Unfortunetly this world is all about money so who knows if we'll ever hear that track
