[:: J. COLE THREAD | DREAMVILLE's ROTD3 ALBUM OUT NOW!! ::]

Man I used to be a J Cole stan. I give up on this dude. There werent any necessarily bad songs, but he needs to stop being severely overrated imo.

Classic = timeless, and you guys are throwing that term around loosely. There is not 1 song on this album that is timeless.

10 years from now no one is gonna give a **** about this album. I am disappoint :{

What type of songs do you want from him?

Did we know all the classic albums from many years ago were going to end up timeless. I'm just enjoying this album as much as the "timeless" albums from years past.....

Its a very good album. No more, no less....

2 years in a row cole has dropped album of the year
NWTS was better than BS. FHD is probably better than whatever drake is about to drop in the spring though.
Just like people hope for Cole to give a "classic" album I still think Drake will bless us with a rap album with no singing/soft soft tracks. I am talking 5am in Toronto and songs with rick ross

We know neither will every happen tho but dont sleep on Drake in the spring

i agree, album got some solid songs but it's no way a classic. it hasn't even been fully released yet and people throwing the word "classic" around it. sounds like his Friday Lights Mixtape to be honest. that's not a bad thing either but it's gonna get old pretty fast

The first 6 songs are all ridiculously hot, i started to stray off towards the middle & it came back together at the end. I'm gonna give it some more spins this weekend. sit back with an L & just think, it's one of those kind of albums.

Is that the consensus Definition of Classic?

Not trying to be condescending but I feel it's okay to have a different definition. This Cd took me back to memories, good and bad.

So for me, it's a classic.

however I understand if you guys don't think it is cause you make have a different definition.

i wasn't really about it at first listen, liked wet dreamz and G.O.M.D., but i'm listening to it for a second time right now and i'm liking it a lot more this time through

The subtext with the intro is awesome man.

"Do you wanna be happy?" Of course we all do, but what he's essentially asking is do you know what it truly means to be happy? Awesome man. May end up as one of my top 5 favorite Cole records ever.

Gave it a second spin and still not sure whether i like it or not. I need to stop having super high expectations for this dude.

He completely ruined the GOMD beat :{

This was the first time I didn't say "damn,that's good BUT what's Cole got next?" Even after BS I was like...I need more. This fulfilled me in every way.
