son had been self-promoting and making his own mixtapes for years before "best i ever had" dropped, and even then that was a song he made on his own in order to garner label attention for the mixtape.
it really irks me that people like to act like Drake is some label-created personality, when I remember clowning him years ago because the dude from Degrassi was making mixtapes tryna call himself a rapper. Son always had talent, never even switched his style up (aside from his album basically being So Far Gone part II). People love to hate on whatever is popular just because it's popular. He does nothing but show love to the underground and the circuit he came from but cats wanna hate because he's Jewish and girls love him.

His flow and what he raps about now is wayyyy different than Pre-SFG/YM Drake.
Hes wayyy more R&B now than he used to.
As for this J.Cole Vs Drake thing..
Cole is a better rapper, lyrics, flow, subject matter. The basics.
But Drake can make a song, more so a hit.
Cole can make songs, but they wont be top 10 billboard hits.

Both took to ustream this week and mentioned each other, Cole went as far as to say he wud call Drake during the ustream so folks wud chill...n Drake give him a shout on his as well and on that mtv doc was suppose to have Cole at that NYC concert

J cole..lyricist can spit crazy..solid hook writer...very solid producer..a different perspective
drake..if u listen to his early stuff..he can OBVIOUSLY spit crazy..but he can sing and very good hook writer
so i mean u cant really say whos better than the other cuz they both have talents the other couldnt do *shrug*

I know you're saying that J.Cole wont make it. BUT
Drake isnt up and coming, dude already made it and already established himself.....J.Cole will get there though..Not to drake's level but he will def be known

his flow is similar to everybody on young money now. it's like he just programmed to be like the rest of them but with R&B appeal.
