Is "Terence" A Black Name?

NT quick question, is "Terence" a black or should I say, African-American sided name? Some people look at me funny when I tell them my name andthey're like, "that's a black name..." and I'm Chinese

Most Ter(r)ences I know are black...that is kinda weird...like a white woman named Donna Chang...
 
all the terrence's i kno are black,

but my boys name is ricardo and hes blacker then a moonless night

so go figure
 
I wouldn't name my child terrence because my grandmother would just pronounce it all wrong. I m latina so i alwaya think of how my family would say it inspanish.

No really the how my family would pronounce it . they can't even pronounce my brothers name and its michael. He has been called michaelle (sounds likemichelle) miguelito, miguel just now do they say michael.
