if your tv is only 60hz then it's not that big a difference, but if you got a 120hz or higher

I bought one last month, and had a 360 since early 08. Its cool
I like the ps3 controller, the multimedia, and free online.
But XBL > PSN

Sony really dropped the ball when you couldn't get online for a month.
Plus you probably want to play online too and in that case xbox > 360

PS3 I'm a casual gamer though only play certain titles like Madden, NBA 2K, MLB The Show, and the Resistance Series. I use my PS3 for mostly blu-ray though.

I went with PS3 because everyone around me was getting an xbox 360.
I also had the other playstation consoles so why not get the PS3.
I personally liked the controller on the ps3 better then the 360's.
The top blu-ray player in the market right now is also pretty nice (imo)
the free online is what drew me the most to ps3 because I really didnt want to pay for something that honestly should be a given to gaming.

ps3. free online and last WAY longer. Less competitive though. OP, if you get a ps3, i'll play you in FIFA, haven't played in a while but dasss my game
