Feel like we used to get heads ups ahead of time for scheduled site maintenance/server changes

This was an unscheduled outage caused by a data center’s gross negligence. The only way for us to have given everyone a heads up would have been if we’d been given advance notice. I was as surprised by this outage as everyone else.

Although we did manage to get the site back online today, some key services like email remain out and some users may experience difficulty signing in.

There will be additional downtime once we transition to a new data center operated by a different company, but this will be both scheduled and shorter than yesterday’s outage.
