lifehacker has better directions when you download the dmg file

1). Download itunes beta 7

2). download 7-zip

3). download dmg file according to your idevice

4). open dmg file with 7-zip and extract hfs file. you'll see the ispw file in there and extract it 

5). plug in your idevice, do a back up

6). hold shift (alt/option on mac) and click restore and for the file click on the ispw file oyu extracted

"that's it" - the jet

It works. i got CDMA iPhone 4

ios 5 is nice

it's not complicated man all you gotta do is download the itunes beta download the ISPW and install it done

there is better performance within the web browser handling scripts and html5 goodies but outside of that its mostly added features i.e. icloud, wifi sync, updates via wifi, imessage, camera button on lockscreen, volume buttons for camera physical buttons, new notification system, widgets in notification system, and son on..

Think we would have to wait till the ispw is out for the 4s or at least getting a 4s in hand. Depending on how it is implemented it could be easy or very difficult. They were able to implement multitasking in the 3g so something similar to this has been accomplished.
