NBA.com's David Aldridge reported previously that the Detroit Pistons will be shopping Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince following the team's signing of Tracy McGrady.

Bill Ingram of Hoops World writes that Prince could be a good fit for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ingram argues that Prince could provide a steady, veteran presence for the young team, and that he is a very low-risk, high-reward option because he only has one year remaining on his contract.

The key to a potential Prince trade to the Thunder is what OKC would have to give up in return. GM Sam Presti has assembled an impressive group of young talent and it would seem unlikely that he'd want to de-rail that in any way. However, if Detroit was willing to settle for draft picks or a project like center B.J. Mullens, perhaps the Thunder would be willing to pull the trigger. Having Prince in the team's crunch time lineup would certainly help come playoff time.

After a summer shakeup unlike anything the NBA's seen before, the 2010 free-agent frenzy is slowly drawing to a close.

Most of the big-money ballers have already found homes: LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, David Lee and Carlos Boozer will all be changing zip codes, while Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Paul Pierce, Joe Johnson and Rudy Gay are returning to their former teams.

But there are still a few household names left on the board. Here's a look at some of the best players available, and a glance at the deals some of the top free agents locked up:



Key: R = Restricted free agent


O'Neal
1. Shaquille O'Neal, Cavs

Agreed with Celtics (two years, $3 million)

In Cleveland, Shaq had to play second fiddle to LeBron to try to prove he could still win a title. Ultimately, the experiment failed. Shaq is clearly slowing down and, at times, it seemed that he hindered more than helped the Cavs. He turned 38 years old in March and has played more games than any other active player in the league.

Still, there's probably a GM or two willing to offer him millions on a two- or three-year contract. The Hawks seem to have shown the most interest so far. Shaq has also coveted playing for the Mavs for a long time.


Howard
2. Josh Howard, Wizards

Signed with Wizards (one year, up to $4 million)

Howard would be higher on the list if he wasn't recovering from a knee injury at the moment. It's unlikely Howard will be ready to play by the start of the season. The Bulls have interest, but much of it's predicated on whether the Magic match the offer for J.J. Redick. The Celtics like him too, but they used their midlevel exception already and need to do a sign-and-trade to get him. The Cavs could get him via sign-and-trade too. It's not out of the question that the Wizards get him as well.


McGrady
3. Tracy McGrady, Knicks

Potential destinations: Heat, Bulls, Clippers

McGrady knows he's not going to get a huge deal at his age. But he's been eyeing South Beach and seems to be leaning toward taking a minimum deal for a chance to play with the Miami Thrice. The Bulls have some interest, too.


Brown
4. Shannon Brown, Lakers

Agreed with Lakers (two years, $4.6 million)

Brown wants to stay with the Lakers and the team wants him back. But Brown wants more money. The Bulls and Jazz have also shown a lot of interest.


Watson
5. Earl Watson, Pacers

Potential destinations: Raptors, Heat

Watson was solid for the Pacers last season and is generating interest around the league.


Brown
6. Kwame Brown, Pistons

Potential destinations:

Brown continues to disappoint, and at this point, he's probably looking at close to a minimum salary somewhere. The Celtics showed interest, but Brown is looking for more money. Wouldn't be shocked if he lands on the Heat when all is said and done.


Bynum
7. Will Bynum, Pistons (R)

Agreed with Pistons (three years, $10.5 million)

Bynum has been really solid for Detroit the past two seasons, and given that he's just 27 years old, he still has a few good years left in him. Most likely the Pistons will match any offer for him.


Butler
8. Rasual Butler, Clippers

Re-signed with Clippers (one-year deal)

Butler has made a living as a cheap option at the 2-guard position coming off the bench. But the past two seasons he's been a starter and put up solid numbers with the Hornets and Clippers. He just turned 31, so there isn't a lot of upside there, but he'll be a solid pickup for someone.


Stackhouse
9. Jerry Stackhouse, Bucks

Potential destinations: Heat, Bucks, Bulls, Mavs

Stackhouse may be 35 years old, but he had a bit of a resurgence for the Bucks last season. He may still have a little juice in those legs after all.


Amundson
10. Louis Amundson, PF, Suns

Potential destinations: Suns, Bulls

Amundson may not be a household name, but he's an excellent athlete with terrific athleticism who really can crash the offensive boards. As an energy guy making the minimum on a team, he could be a valuable asset.
