I honestly do my best to understand opposing viewpoints even when I don’t agree with them but I’m struggling with this one. Not voting because you don’t like either option is essentially putting Donald Trump on the same plane as Biden in terms of leadership ability, trustworthiness, intent, political savvy, and creepiness which is just flat out inconceivable.

I can’t think of a single positive attribute that Trump has over Biden let alone an honest list of them that would make voting for him or not voting for him the best course of action.

-$$$ Allocations

-Immigration
-Seats in Congress
-Actual ability to get things passed that could be meaningful
-Getting money out of politics
-Real pressure to actually pass something for criminal justice and police reform, with a democratic house/senate. And the ability to hold them accountable

The first 4 I listed....are things that affect black people...that trump is actively and staunchly against. People mention Biden and the crime bill. While not acknowledging that it had bipartisan support and a good number of black people supported it . Of course with time....you have people who’ve since denounced, and have taken efforts to try to undo the damage it caused. Biden is one. He’s faaar from perfect, and wouldn’t be my choice. But it’s obvious with him. You’re not really voting for him. You’re voting against trump. Who actively.....at every level of his life since the early 1970s....has shown who he is

Trump has mastered the Overton window. That man...literally appointed Jeff Sessions as his first Attorney General. A guy who Coretta Scott King said was too racist to be in Congress . When Sessions wasn’t as corrupt as trump wanted, he hired the guy that wrote the legal opinion for the CASE FOR MORE INCARCERATION...as the #1 Cop in America. The same guy, who got Reagan and Bush and a whole bunch of other corrupt officials off for Iran contra...in the 80s & 90s. Literally, one of the architects and to drugs pouring in to the inner city, mass incarceration, mandatory minimums, police state....YOU NAME IT.

And to this day....he STILL holds this very same view . Yet, these dudes are actually in office....marking us as terrorist (black identity extremist).

The demographics aren’t in their favor, and their aren’t enough Irish, Italian or Jewish immigrants to make “white” or southern strategy to play...to turn it in their favor.

So voter suppression. Gerrymandering. Abortion (low white fertility rates) are the last stand.
