in other words, it aint all the T-Pain !$*!. a lot of non singing #!* folks using it to sound good in the studio

Auto-tune has been around for ages, it just wasn't used the way dudes are using it now. Its actual intention was to fix small pitch problems for singers sothat they didn't have to go lay down vocals again just to fix up one spot where they went out of tune. Studios have been using autotune for its intendedpurpose for a long time now.

Autotune is a VST plugin. All you do is run it in FL Studio or any other sequencer as an effect and just record into the mic. Not that hard. But you do have tomake sure you set the settings right and have it in the right key of the song or it would sound like dookey.
