If You Are Looking for/Interested In Working With The Federal Government...Come In. Positions Availa

My mans in here looking out, I hope people are taking advantage .:Nthat

From my years of doing this.....

Most people *WANT* something without doing the work it takes to get what they *NEED* they also message things like:

I want a job yo!? :x

Here is a hint: "You attract more flies with honey than vinegar......"

Think Pied Piper or Robin Hood.

My girl needs some help. She's trying to get in, resume is on point (she gets refereed) but she keeps getting beat out by Vets. She got in at one agency but was dropped after a vet challenged the hire. Trying to find someone that will do a direct hire but most HR folks don't want to go through the extra work. She's weary of going contractor at least until atleast she sees who will be the next President.

DM Me.

That's common logic, but Contractor (a skilled one has infinite job security, gets paid more and has flexibility to badge flip (think of yourself as a mercenary married to the dollar and not some lame Fed Agency).

The work my girl wants to do is inherently governmental, so it eliminates contracting.

That's a common misrepresentation and incorrect definition.

I've done personnel services, inherently government functions and all that just as the FAR says one shouldn't do.

"It's not what you know, it's what you can prove....."

There is theory and logic and the way it actually is.

Last fiscal year my agency decided not to exercise a contractors option because their job was deemed inherent to the government which equated to about 10 people loosing their jobs and was just my office. They hid them in a satellite office until the end of their performance. They were ok until Defense Secretary said they weren't.

Yes, I understand that notion. And where are those people now?

If you work in that field in this area....you get 5-7 job offers a week on LinkedIn without even applying. And you get paid handsomely.....if a person can't float for 3 weeks without a "job" making $135,000.00.....then my friend, they have bigger issues.

TRUTH.

Your speaking that real . I have recruiters sending me offers every week, I would never be worried about losing my job once I get my full clearance.

One company was offering 150K I couldn't believe it lol. He read my profile wrong he thought I had completed my Masters which would allow me to be hired as a SE III. I don't even have 2 years of full time experience, the money is out here.

Just like you said if your making 130K+ and can't survive a month with no job your doing something wrong. There is a possibility that you lose your job as a contractor, but if you are a highly valuable person it takes no time to pick up a new job here in the DMV.

This was last fiscal year, my agency hired one. Two were vets are now GSers at other agency in the same building the rest are still trying to get in on the government side. Their job was inherent, so they have no choice but to go GS unless they do advising but those aren't full-time positions and few and far between. Secretary of Defense said he wanted GSers performing the work. Thats my issue with contracting the climate can change and someone can implement regulation and put you out of a career. They worked for Alutiq a very large contractor and they couldnt be placed elsewhere cause as a contractor the job was gone.

The three people that converted gs said yes the pay was great but benefits and stability was much better as a GSer.

I do have to say I appreciate JS looking out, it's not something he has to do at all. Not a cigar dude, but i'll support when my dudes are in town.

Kinda pulled back a bit, got some feedback that the positions (end goal being Technical PM)I want would like me to finish my degree first. For now if ya'll hear of any service desk manager/lead openings (with decent pay, folks be low balling out here) toss them my way though.

I'm not going to 100% agree/disagree with this...but I know why you are saying with where you currently work.

It's like discussing Skins/Cowboys and having someone tell you there is no bias.

I've worked both. Fed, Industry and everything in-between. I have no allegiance to either....they are both not for me IMO. I run a Cigar Shop/Art Studio/And Other Ventures. Federal DC area jobs are not for me and my creativity.

That doesn't mean I won't help others get to where they think they might want to go. You can roll your sleeves up as well and take half the messages I'm getting if you want. I know you are not busy for all 8 hours if you work for the Federal Govt in the DC area. smh. :p

No worries....I know there a bunch of emails/messages that got flooded in and then I:

-went on vacation on a cruise
-got engaged
-got kidnapped by American Airlines (still dealing with this one)

-pending no engagement possibly as this AA was the last straw as I'm always routinely late to her stuff and work too much. :p :|

Oh and if folks don't like Cigars/giving Cigars as gifts I also have the following ventures:

www.studio301nyc.com

and

BugattiKickz in Northern VA (don't ask about the name, that is the founders and he was stuck on it lol.....we had talks on why I thought it was typical Arab and very limiting). Selection is the best and prices are unbeatable. Tell J I sent you or I'll escort you there for a real hook up.

Famb you just popped up with like 6 businesses, no worries at all (and I hope that last one works itself out). That's essentially what I want to do though, stack capital now no matter how mundane the position, then apply to some ventures of my own later. Just no big ideas yet.

I missed your snapchat yesterday but if you're still in town let's get together this week, preferably Friday. Studio 301 looks cool. I have a business you'll be interested in but it has to be based in DC because of laws. Operating out of Maine right now :hat

Off the record I'll tell your man everything about the MCNOSC inside and out. What/who to avoid and how to navigate the backstabbing Cyber world filled with dumb *** egomaniac jarheads who have never worked with respectful women lol. I know all the Cyber CTRs and I've won a contract there for a company as well. No OCI.

Headed to Airport today (been saying that since Friday though so take it for what it's worth) to get my legal legit VA Drivers License back and the rental truck that has been there for about 10 days (that's $50 a day plus $12 in parking just for lulz smh).

American Air will pay for this fiasco too smh

After our offline chat, the only way Kemba Jesus would get a job from me is 7 Hail Marys, Rosary Beads, Holy Trinity and Divine Intervention.....and the Ultimate Fade Combo Breaker. From Harrison Road to Central Park to La Petite Downtown.

Bucs fan? I just came back from Tampa last week and they sure do love their sports teams down there lol. :x
