the tea party originally started out as a grassroots movement for all races to participate in their disapproval of government legislations etc but it was highjacked by the establishment to break it apart and cause friction between each other.... the tea party was supposed to be a legitmate 3rd party option beyond repubs and demos but they through out sarah palin and glenn beck into the mix ,and its now an extension of the same group of people they tried to stay away from..

he never denied that he received  privilege from being white...

Also he was raised in a Jewish family, and is no longer Jewish..

Even then him being Jewish is irrelevant, anti-Semite..
pointing out someones (ex)religion means you hate that religion? weahdeydoodatat?

Stop it, he was clearly using it in an offensive way.

i didnt see it as an attempt to offend. More like pointing out the irony in an attempt for lulz (hence the rolling laughing emoticon)
Despite Tim Wise being on point you have to see the irony no?

Nope............ First of all the emoticon could be directed at Tim Wise and not the "irony"......  Also the irrelevance of bringing up his religion... Which is irrelevant no matter what way you try to slice it...If he was a Right Wing Christian, his religion would not be brought up... You know it, and I know it... Also "A jew trying to discuss white privilege" you don't see the antisemitism in that? It's clear as day...

Btw What's the irony????  I know where it is headed... Good luck trying to make a non-hateful argument out of it.

Jews benefit from white privilege (as admitted by Tim Wise).
He lectured against the same privilege that he has benefited from.
It made him a millionaire.

To me thats ironic and I dont see how stating that makes me hateful.
If anything it adds to his sincerity since he is lecturing against something that benefits him personally, but is detrimental to society as a whole (hes looking at the bigger picture).
Like if I was a multi-millionaire and a democrat. Personally the policies of Republicans are in my best interest (tax cuts) but I vote democrat because it is best for the majority of the country.

I really dont want to derail this thread tho. We'll agree to disagree?

Wow at just throwing the anti-Semite label around. If anything that post was mocking America more than pointing out that Time Wise is a Jew that makes millions off talking about white privilege along with some underlying hatred for Jews (wherever that came from).
