If they did retro sb's they'd just flood the market with junk quality retros and people would be content with copping so they can THINK they have heat....Word to people who buy new Jordans still (prime example, the bordeauxs)

The only reason retro SBs come up as a topic of discussion is because the new stuff isnt anything. If the new stuff was solid, people would be content and would not be wanting something better.....Alphanumeric had a good brand motto, but I cant remember it right now, it related perfectly to this....

exactly, so I dont know why all these noobs are asking "when will they retro the first sbs?", just b/c its the same cw, doesnt mean they will be the same price wise.. I think thats what it has to do with too. Notice how you dont see anyone asking for Pro B retros....dont get any ideas, I can almost gurantee that that will never happen.

If you want the old stuff, then just buy it and stop complaining. W/o jordan retroing in 94, this topic would never exist.

Dudes need to stop crying about "quality" of sneakers... of course you are not gonna get the same leathers as you did in the past but you will still get some acceptable materials as seen with some of the retros that nike sportswear brings out.

Thats not why I'm against retros at all. I/m against them because Nike SB doesnt need them for success. What they need to do is make NEW and ORIGINAL cws that we like and fiend for instead of most of the crap that they've been dropping since 06. If you want the old stuff then go buy it. To answer the original user's question, if more premes, tiffs etc came out (its not a retro if its exact, just a restock), the value would go down. Just look at Griptapes (mids), Blackpack (lows) etc.

Meh reretroing kicks definitly brings down the value of a shoe no matter nike sb or jordan. Like the flints that came out, value was $235 for a ds pair from 04, now they are $180-$190
