I mean he’s dying instantly so I guess I see his point.

Hasn’t there been some stuff about lethal injection being a horrible way to go?

There’s no debate a bunch of .308 to the chest will kill you quick.

Or maybe I’m confusing lethal injection with electric chair.

Both electric chair and lethal injection apparently have issues with causing prolonged suffering in some cases. Although I would imagine being shot wouldn't be much better unless they shoot you in the head which I don't think they do.

came across this article too:

Sigmon didn’t pick the electric chair because it would “burn and cook him alive,” his attorney Gerald “Bo” King wrote in a statement.

“But the alternative is just as monstrous,” King said. “If he chose lethal injection, he risked the prolonged death suffered by all three of the men South Carolina has executed since September — three men Brad knew and cared for — who remained alive, strapped to a gurney, for more than twenty minutes.”

you'd think with all the dangerous chemicals out there they'd have something that worked instantly. just inject a sodium channel blocker directly into the heart.

Yeah, I can’t really blame him and it brings attention to how messed up it is.

Speaking of death penalty... Only two countries in the "major developed countries" have the death penalty. America (ofc) but Japan has a unique take on it.

and if you don't want to watch a well made video heres a spoiler
They're not given a execution date, told the morning of only. family or relatives are told just few hours before. They are hung until death and the executioner is one of three guards in another room(they can't see the prisoner) that each press a button which they all press at the same time so none of them feel guilty. The "killing" button is randomized

Death penalty is overwhelming supportive by the japanese people.

EDIT: a word

I'd love to see the execution bill versus the bill for feeding, clothing, and housing some scumbags from 18 to 75ish.

I’d like to see the hundreds of thousands of innocent people who’ve lost their lives because of wrongful imprisonment.

And that’s probably a low estimate.

I imagine the initial shock and adrenaline would soak up the real pain long enough for you to die by firing squad, if you chose to go that route. Would likely feel some pressure and a tiny bit of heat before passing out and just dying

Idk tho just a guess

What I dont understand is how come they try to shield executioners from guilt but send soldiers to war? Humans just be doing **** sometimes.
