There was a cow who fell to his knees and cried on the way to the slaughtethouse

i dont have a problem killing animals and eating them, but i wouldve let that one go the same way the butchers did

but that didnt give me a change of heart in the least, i need a good source of protein, so cows/bulls must die

the only part i have with the meat industry is how they kill animals, some places do it quick and fast, some do it very gruesomely and on top of that, i really feel like our quality of meat would be better if many of the farms who sell to large chains would have their livestock in low stress conditions (like that one chicken company that had the chicken in those dark and gross coops should be out of business)

The other side of Haiti.
I know that it's a ship so it's big but my gosh that thing looks HUGE compared to the island.

My perception must be playing tricks on me.

Put the weapon down.

You can't tell me that pic is anything like what Haiti is usually portrayed.
its not, but if youre surprised by that pic, then you are very close minded

Do you understand what the term "close minded" means?

I actually started reading about the beach and decided to post the picture because I'm sure more people probably didn't know like I didn't, and I'm Haitian American. My parents aren't from the wealthy side of the poorest country in the western hemisphere so when I visited in the early 90s I wasn't exposed to "Labadee Beach".

Also, I'd like to add, "Labadee Beach is a private resort leased to Royal Caribbean International until 2050. It is completely tourist-oriented, and is guarded by a private security force. The site is fenced off from the surrounding area, and passengers are not allowed to leave the property. "

lol @ close minded

I actually looked in to cruise prices. Might have to make it happen later this year.

The other side of haiti is the Dominican Republic I thought.

So why would people be not believe this lol

The well informed PaulPrince3730 was saying that it is common knowledge that Haiti has nice beaches.

The point was (and correct me if I'm wrong) was that if you saw the picture posted without any context or back story you wouldn't automatically think it's Haiti.

I'm missing what is ignorant about that.

You're correct. You show most people that pic with a cruise shop docked and I bet they can come up with at least 10 other countries. But thats my close minded opinion. :lol

I hope you guys aren't giving false info in here, the stuff posted in this thread is :eek

Prostitutes in chicago are more likely to have sex with a police officer than get arrested by one

The cliffnotes to the scarlett letter outnumber sales of the actual book almost 4 to 1

The "zoo hypothesis" states that intelligent life is just ignoring us to watch our natural development and evolution.

As per that Haiti photo, I just showed my boy from Haiti and he instantly knew where it was without me saying so. He also added that they restrict the citizens from Haiti from going to that side.
