My best guess is that the domain could attract people with poor literacy for scamming or phishing purposes. The owner could hypothetically turn that domain into something nefarious, with young kids as the target group.

Microsoft might also just want to avoid confusion.

I own the email “[email protected]” for example, which receives tons of emails from idiots who genuinely think it’s a White House email address.

Ideally you want to avoid such cases.
