Former Texas Governor Rick Perry’s family has 1070 acre hunting ground in texas that they’ve owned for generations.
It… has a certain name. Near the gated entrance is a giant rock that has the name on it. Well…. Yikes
When his dad got the lease for the place in ‘83 he painted over it. Perry’s family uses a different entrance now. It’s still there. Paint is faded. Between 1983 and 2006 he claims to have hunted around a dozen times and when he was elected into the state legislature in ‘85, he hosted a few turkey shoots for fellow lawmakers.
Someone was noted to say Perry is “covering his tracks” as he goes on in his political career.
Perry has spoken often about how his upbringing in this sparsely populated farming community influenced his conservatism.
That makes no sense - unless conservatism = racism?
