my dude is an engineer, and said that's the 2nd step in the process of my idea. but my idea is so simple... iunno if it's that serious. might break $$$ and just talk to a patent lawyer, but I'm O.D. cheap

If you really believe in the idea then its definitely worth it. Yes it will cost to talk to a patent attorney but most of them are engineers themselves and can really give you some valuable guidance.

With all these cars with new technology...
I remember back on I think 2004 when I used tell people they should invent a way for cars to enable listeners to download the music right when they hear it.
Sometimes people listen to a song that they like but the station doesn't tell them the name or artist, or just forget to download it later.
With a push of a button, the song automatically downloads the song to the car's hard drive.
(But I know this will never happen with all these copyright, piracy, illegal downloading laws going on)

pretty decent idea but yeah, copyright laws would really hurt it. now, if you could have a shazzam option on your car so you don't have to play with your phone while driving and have those results uploaded to some kind of cloud system which you could log into from your computer that would be nice.

I have another idea that I thought about back in a day... how about (optional) polarized windshields? To see better in bright days and long roads.

I work graveyard... and I HATE coming home in the morning, exactly when the sun rises and BAM, sun beaming right into my eyes, I can't see crap!

I know there are polarized sun glasses, but how about windshields? Almost like car tints.

Say you do somehow get the money and resources to put a Redbox-esque system for porn in place. This is a huge "somehow" seeing as how the infrastructure necessary is incredibly complex and not as easily transferable as you may think. Think about where these Redboxes are located. Drug stores, grocery stores, conveniences stores, etc. Places with high volumes of people and visibility. None of these places will host your porn box. While it's nice to think that society has moved to a point where we can just stroll down the street in broad daylight and order some porn out of a porn box, it's not a reality. There are still taboos about it and it's something that's very much hush hush. I can't imagine the porn box being anywhere but in the sketchiest of neighborhoods and in adult sex shops. Can't really imagine it inside a CVS.

They need to start facial recognition in pron. Instead of a search bar, i'd rather have a drop box. You drop a picture of the girl you wanna jerk it to (can be from facebook, worldstarhiphop, wnba, or w.e.). Then the algorithms will find a Pron* similar to what you had in mind.
