Dang only if i still hoop ill justify to cop these.

If the Mets were worth a ****, I’d gladly cop a pair.

Knicks been dead to me since they traded Strickland. Salute to the ones who stood by them for decades though.

The materials on the OT are pretty elevated for Nike standards. That and the revised cushion setup is pretty hard to beat. It's just the fit that's a bit of a miss for me. I went half size down, and after break-in, it's kinda loose. Somehow it's not necessarily sloppy, but I am curious to find out whether the Penny pair is any better in that regard.

Someone came to pick up the white/black/red here from a online order(Foot Locker).

Didn't even know they dropped yet.

Only seen them on FTL. Seem like Nike is being weird, went ahead and copped retail vs waiting for disco

I just ordered the OT black 2K4’s FOR WELL UNDER RETAIL. For those that have them, how are they quality wise, fit, zoom air, and etc.? I wonder why these didn’t sell as well as predicted? I had the black/grey pair in 2004 starting my senior year in high school and I remember they were light. I do t remember the zoom air being as responsive, but it was 22 years ago.

Materials are really good imo. It's all relative but I don't think there's any other modern Nike Basketball release with this type of leather.
Half size down, although for me I wish the upper was a bit more snug. It's not like I'm swimming in there, but it's not up there like a Kobe or Kyrie.

With newer models, I feel like Nike has been trying to sell the sensation of cushion more than the actual practicality of cushion. The 2K4 cushion just works for me. The whole thing to write home about is that I come away not feeling any sore even though I'm aware it's a relatively simple/low-profile setup. I was feeling that way even before the forefoot Zoom bag was revealed to be larger than the original.

Why these didn't sell is probably because of the current trend of low cuts, Asian brands gaining prominence. Shoes like this are probably perceived in the same light as most any other retro that isn't a Kobe 4/5/6, as far as functional performance worth. I think anyone with the nostalgia trip thinks more about OG colorways and PE's at this point because they're not playing anymore. This really is one of the most solid basketball shoes to buy right now.

Only thing that went wrong on my OT was the suede on the heel tore. Could've been me, could've been QC. Shoe isn't falling apart. Likely gonna go for the double up at the right disco.

From where? I’ve been holding off in order to get them on a major discount.

I like your take.

It’s interesting that the zoom bags are much larger, so I can imagine these feeling more responsive, but nothing crazy.

I was gonna say, has anyone seen the white/red/black in an actual store? I haven’t been able to find them in LA and I’ve been on vacation in Michigan for the past week and can’t find them here, either.
Now I see the Foot Locker site says they are an exclusive. I probably just should’ve bought them last week when they were on sale for 20% off on there. I didn’t notice it said they were a Foot Locker exclusive when I looked at them last week, though. If I had noticed that at the time, I would’ve just done it.
