how do you restore a phone to factory settings if it's password protected?

i dont know if this will work on your phone, but i had a similar situation occur on a cell that my buddy found on the street. some phones have two differentpasscodes. if you hit the center (select) button you can move from the 4-digit password to a 6-digit one. If you are able to do this enter 000000 into the6-digit password box. sometimes this works because people forget to change the master password.

Just bring it to the store they can do a master reset so it will be as if you just bought it new.
