Similar situation when I was dorming. Dude that lived under me had a computer speaker system with some decent bass. I complained and complained to my RD, butthat didn't work. The following semester, I bought my own speaker system with way more bass.

Simple. Buy some really loud speakers and make a 3 hour playlist filled with terrible screamo music and blast it. You can either go out to a bar or somethingor buy ear plugs. I would just leave the house.

when the people upstairs play music loud i usually go out back and shut off the power to they apt for a few minutes. they still dont know its me doing it.
