How do i remove leftover sticky adhesive residue?

The type usually left over from a sticker or tape or something. I have it on the bottom of my XI and everytime i walk my shoes stick to the ground. I'vetried washing it with soap and water, shoe cleaner, etc but i guess all it does is move it around, not actually remove it.
Any help would be appreciated

goo goon. used it at my old job, works like a charm. just make sure you use latex gloves or something, getting that stuff on your skin is annoying

its not the cologne, its the isopropyl alcohol in the cologne.
