How come nobody ties their shoe laces anymore?

to each their own. however, i always tie my shoes - for casual, athletic, work, etc. there isn't a day that the shoes i'm wearing are tied.

I don't lace because it helps prevent creasing.

I loosely knot my laces similar to the way not laces are knotted when you fist pull them out the box.

EDIT: Dress shoes, casual shoes get tied. This is only the case with basketball shoes.

That's what I've concluded. People who actually use athletic shoes for athletics tie their shoes. While out of shape guys who've never participated on any sort of athletic event who wear no show socks and have Kankles don't.
