None of this stuff is mutually exclusive. If you match on a app. Getting her number should be the first option. If you get the number you should still check out her IG, Facebook etc
If she prefers to give you her IG, Snapchat etc over her number then you work with that but you damn sure shouldn't get snapchat/IG and be content with only communicating through them alone. Video chat/build rapport then plan a meetup/date. Find out her schedule then pick a place and a time.
Based on this question you haven't learned anything from your own trial/error and you haven't paid any attention to the advice people have given.
Whatever happened with your prom date got you out here moving like you on the spectrum.

Saw a few tweets lately from two chicks I used to talk to from Bumble a few yrs back. Didn’t even realize we still followed each other since I don’t use Twitter much. One chick is a lawyer, highly argumentative personality and would turn everything into a debate. It was draining so I deaded that pretty quickly. She used to talk about how she wanted to be married by 30, how having a partner/family was important in life, stuff like that.
Now she’s constantly tweeting stuff like “women should focus on having self-sufficient lives and decentralize partnership and children”, and how partnership is overrated and not important.
The other one was the kind of chick that wanted to be a stay-at-home mom/wife and “men should be men” and should pay for everything and be the provider. Now she’s proudly tweeting about how she pays 100% of the rent while her man cooks and cleans the house and how she doesn’t believe in gender roles.
It’s really weird out here.

Wouldn’t say all that but the switch up from mid-to-late 20’s to early 30’s is crazy.
On another note it seems like the dating app game has gotten worse for everyone over the last few years. Everyone seems to think they can hold out for better options and they end up empty handed. One of my boys was ignoring averaging looking 5’s or 6’s in his matches because he wanted to match with 8’s or above. I’m like bro, I’d take down a decent looking 5/10 any day. Dude is not matching with bad joints.
