Here We Go Again NT... More Foamposite Drama!! Input/Opinions Needed

So I won a pair of Copper Foam ones on Ebay

After the auction ends, the seller contacts me saying I listed the shoes for a friend here is his information please contact him for payment and shipping

I replied back basically go sex yourself. Am I wrong here in thinking this is shady? I won't be covered by Ebay if I pay someone who didn't list the auction. I think its super shady and nothing of the sort was ever mentioned in the listing or anything. 

I need some feedback/opinions. I do not like this at all I think the seller is trying to pull something

No what you did is 100% correct. EVEN if the seller is legit, you aren't supposed to do what he's asking and you definitely won't be protected. If he is legit, he will accept payment for the shoe and will ship it and give you tracking info. That's the only way Ebay/Paypal will protect you.
