Help IDing rare Nike Air Streaks from 2001-02

Hi guys,

I'm trying to ID some rare Nike Air Streaks from around 2001. They were worn by Catherine Ndereba to break the women's marathon world record in 2001, and she kept wearing them until 2008.

I've included some pictures I got from Wikipedia, and here are some links to other images. It's a really distinctive sneaker, with the blue flames on the upper, I've looked everywhere with no luck.

I tried asking Nike directly but they're also not totally sure.

What makes you think they are actually Streaks?

Not saying they aren't but did a quick search and quite a few Streak variants can be found but nothing like this.

That's a really good point! When I was looking I found some posts on a running forum talking about the Air Streak series.

No photos or specific names, but they said what Ndereba wore was an Air Streak variant. Mentioned the Ekiden but like you I searched and couldn't find a clear match.

Did Nike have another line at the time? I thought the Air Max Racer was a one-off release? Thanks for taking a look anyway.

This helps. 106042 is the style code, made in 2000 (000709), and there is a similar pair on Ebay right now. Don't know the exact name but might be Zoom Streak Spectrum or Zoom Spectrum.

Other than that, not a lot can be found on this particular model.

In 2018 a retro Streak Spectrum was released but it's a different newer model, originally released in 2003.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I got to the bottom of this mystery. The shoe is the Nike Air Streak Ekiden IV from 2000!
