i have an OE once in a while ... taste isn't as bad as people make it out to be but in no way can it compare to a good beer ... can't beat getting wavy for $3.50 though

This is it exactly. When you're like 16-18 and it's a hard time getting anything else. By the time you hit 20 you have friends 21 and can easily get something better. When you're young, you don't care about taste, you just want to get drunk.

coincidentally, a bunch of us did this in our dorm freshman year in college. one of the guys finished his and smashed the bottles together, shattering them and slicing his hand open.
