That caught me off guard.  
 
Detroit has some beautiful architecture just sitting there vacant. 
I really hope to see the area restored to what it once was.

You used the best possible pictures vs. the worst possible pictures of Detroit- not a fair comparison. Compare it to Vegas, which didnt look like that when the nukes were dropped- went from "desert" to amazing (the strip atleast) very one -sided way to go about it

I think all it's trying to say is that there is no excuse for Detroit to look like that.

How are you going to compare a progress of a current metropolitan area to a slum......

Compare NYC, or Miami, or LA, or houston, and you will see progress......
