It's different. People who have a broader taste in music probably love that album. It's a very nice blend of jazz, funk and hiphop. Unfortunately I don't like Kendrick nor do I really like jazz and funk so I threw it in the recycle bin after a few listens. Objectively speaking it's undeniably an amazing piece of work though.
I threw GKMC and Section 80 in the recycle bin too but I won't deny that they are great albums, just not my type of music.

J Cole ( Know it released at the end of the year but he bodied this whole album, like seriously!)
Meek Mill ( Just listened to it and he really do sound like he had to get some ish off his chest)
Boosie ( He really speak that real no sugar coating nothing, he still sound hungry even though he rich)
Drake ( Had to add this my boy went hard on every track)
