Yeah I'ma peep the others when I get a chance. And I agree that Haiti deserves more global respect than they receive. Even as a kid I remember Haitians always being looked upon in a negative light. I never really understood why. Africans, Haitians and Mexicans were bottom rung lol.

That's crazy, because it wasn't until I moved to FL that I started to gain some pride about my heritage.
Seemed like everyone down there was Haitian and were proud of it. Even had some black people claiming they
were zoe

lol.. yea, that was around Lil Haiti when Cash Money used to come around heavy, the 'Project Chick' days. In South Miami, that was a different story.
 
the culture in miami like you guys said was not friendly to haitians...its only recently i can remember haitian pride as growing....especially after the quake

not haitian btw from another island but yea....haitian used to be the insult smh
 
I'm American with Haitian decent, but i have a crib in DR ... The island is really divided. They never believe im Haitian when im down there, because they treat Haitians like 3rd class citizens. Its a shame i decided to build a summer home in DR rather than Haiti, but i cant deal with those politics in Haiti. Business is much easier / better in DR. In ways they treat Haitians down there like we treat Central Americans in NY.
