This does make a lot of sense.
Haddadi doesn't also seem to fit with the team. Its like he's always left out of conversation on the bench from what I've seen at the few games. I just don't think he fits in. Sad to say actually.

Not surprising at all. Most NBA players grew up in similar situations and many have known each other for a long time and can relate on many levels. Haddadi is a dude from a smaller city in Iran and probably doesn't even know English that well yet. A lot of Euro/foreign players fit in well because they're a big part of the team and demand respect in that way. Haddadi is like the 12th man on the Grizz, doesn't fit in at all given the fact that he just moved from Iran. But I personally think he should suck it up and just enjoy this opportunity to live in the US and make millions doing essentially nothing but practicing basketball.
I practiced with the top pro team in Iran in 2006-2007, and it's ugly over there. When the owner would come to watch practice the team captain would basically beg him to pay the players on time so that they could pay bills and stuff. And what they're getting paid is nothing. So I really think Haddadi should see the good in what he has right now going for him. Maybe he could go to Barca or Europe and be in a better situation, but who knows.

i was going to say something similar.  he probably has no problem hanging out with the team if they hit up Magic City.

Heck, I still wonder how Zaza Pachulia has managed to keep sane on the Atlanta Hawks all these years. He's been the only white guy on that team for like 5 straight years. Imagine him going out with his teammates after a game...he wants to go to a club where they play Euro dance but he ends up being the only white guy in some Atlanta hip hop establishment.

I thought dude had a serious gripe with the organization, the best example his brother could provide is comps at a nightclub?

I don't take this seriously as I stated above, and I think he should get over it, but you don't see where he'd be coming from at all? If you went to a nightclub with 11 teammates and only you had to pay for your drinks you wouldn't be upset? Especially if you were the only foreign dude on the squad? I know I would. Maybe not grounds for a lawsuit or anything, but definitely upsetting.

But if you just mean to point out that the Grizzlies aren't the ones discriminating, I think the title of the article is poorly written, because the brother doesn't seem to actually claim that the Grizzlies are doing it. But yeah not the Grizzlies' fault.

I'd take his job and the "discrimination" over what I have now, and I'm sure a billion people on Earth would as well.

I thought he meant club as in the Grizz, not nightclubs. But I guess nightclubs makes more sense.
