Grits - Sweet or Savory?

I'm baffled by how many people eat their grits sweet. I legit didn't know people did that.

Must be a european thing then. I never saw anyone eat or mention savory grits. Its a desert here. Usually served with cinnamon, cooked with milk

I came up on malt-o meal though.

I ate sweet grits.... As a child.

Then I grew up and realized the full potential of savory grits, have not looked back since.

Kinche (cracked wheat similar to grits) and furfur goes off with maple syrup tho.  damn i need to get some ethiopian breakfast soon.
