I am about to change your life. My 2nd Aunt (who is from Belize) taught me this
-2 pcs of wheat bread (or w/e bread you love)
-Butter the entire skillet, dont be a +*!#! about it...cover the skillet in butter
-put mayonnaise on BOTH...BOTH sides of the bread
-Throw both halves on the skillet
-let the butter soak in for a minute than put a slice of cheese (add bacon for extra greatness) to one half.
-Get some black pepper and pepper both pcs of bread
-Once again let the halves sit for a minute until lightly brown
-sandwich the halves and pressed down on them.
-Keep flipping and pressing the sandwich until its toasted nicely
Take your grilled cheese out of the skillet and let it sit for a minute and let the cheese cool down a bit. And enjoygood lord its amazing. Its also excellent with a side of Ketchup.

-DEEP FRY the pieces
-Make some french fries if you want
-Serve with a side of ranch or BBQ sauce

Mayo is a form of lard/butter and it has flavor. The butter combined with the mayo on the outside makes for a good combo and then the mayo on theinside of the bread with pepper and cheese is an added flavor. And if you want you can have ranch or ketchup. But when i make them I never put ketchup on theside because i enjoy the sandwich itself so much. Its one of those things you shouldnt be a "snob" about and get hung up on ingredients. Once youmake it I promise you will not go back to regular grilled cheese.Originally Posted by omgitswes
