as a joke i once PMed some dude whose sig was something like, "watch your grammar, niketalk is full of English majors..........."
the message thread was:
me:
You might want to change your sig. Ironically, it's a comma splice and, subsequently, a run-on sentence (because of its two independent clauses). In thespirit of your stylized approach, an em-dash ("--") or a a colon (";") would have been more appropriate.
him:
are you serious dude? the point of me puttin that in my sig is because of ppl making gramatical corrects all the time on nt. its an online forum, its notneeded to be grammatically correct when ppl are using abbreviations, slang words, etc. if u dunt like it dunt read it. plain and simple.
me:
bro--i was kidding. sheeesh
... idk; i guess i thought it was funny at the time...
