Government Shutdown 2013-2014 My Civil Servant Brethern...what you think

Come on champ, be reasonable.  What is there for him to be "flexible" about??  We are a nation of laws, and with that being said ACA is the LAW of the land.  It's time for these whiny Republicans and Tea Party extremists to get over it.  They lost that fight when President Obama got re-elected.  Elections have consequences, and now is the time for the Republican party to suffer those consequences.

Interesting.

Just looking at the image you have of President Obama, I see you have him with big ears and big teeth.  Could this cartoon visual be a description of your personal feelings about President Obama champ??

Did you just totally deflect right now? :lol

Answer da cartoon.

Da cartoon :lol

Now I understand why so many people despise tea party and right wing conservatives.

Still waiting on a response....
Obama is trying to abolish the 2nd amendment, he is trying to add restrictions.. restrictions that we ALREADY have such as a ban against full automatic weapons.... You have to remember back in 1776, they where still pouring gun powder and rocks down a gun barrel and firing weapons.. they never dreamed of fully automatic and semi-automatic weapons..

and Obama is fully willing to negetioate spending cuts.. but not at the expense of government shutdown..

Obama ASKING for Congress to change gun laws is not the same as the GOP trying to actively sabotage Obamacare

Bams ain't coming for da musket Ninja, you can relax.

:lol at the idiocy in this thread.

It's like listening to a bunch of car mechanics talk about designing and fixing an RS-25.

Got Obama looking like gilbert Godfrey.

Umm obama chooses to ignore laws whenever he

Wants (marriage, immigration, weed, ICE enforcement)

Answer da cartoon.
There's nothing to answer really because there is no correlation to what that cartoon is trying to depict versus what is actually happening right now with the government shutdown.  Just to go a little further with that point, even though President Obama wants change certain aspects of the 2nd Amendment, at no point in time did he adopt a ransom mentality (which is what the GOP is doing now) in regards to the government or any aspect of the government if the 2nd Amendment isn't changed.  The cartoon display is piss poor at best, and those that believe it to be true have a lack of understanding.

Don't worry muchacho I got ya covered.  I going to make sure you ring in your 30's on the right note as opposed to how you rang in your 20's which was on a bad note.  I'm going to help you get over the hump my friend.

Edit--

-Most people are blaming the GOP for this shutdown.

-Congress's approval rating is at a laughable 5% :lol

-If there was an election tomorrow he would beat any major Republican player. Easily

But your GOP brahs are on TV telling me that we won't default and even if we do, it ain't eem gonna be that bad. :lol

The only reason Republicans aren't gonna pay a heavy price is because of gerrymandering. We all know this.

Obama went in on the GOP in the last presser, and will continue will do so if things get worst.

If you're throwing out polls to prove a point, then take notice that polls say people are blaming Congress and the GOP.

And will do so if things get worst.

Doesn't really matter, President Obama got elected for a 2nd term, he's Teflon Don and isn't going anywhere. The Republican Party as a whole on the other hand is receeding nationwide.

Gotta agree cause avg Americans don't know anything about this fake tan Boehner. It's easier to blame the face of the Govt which is Obama!

Hell even the military and their families right now are pissed off that military death benefits aren't getting paid.

da senate sitting on all those mini bills that would fund all that, because they ain't trying to let anything move if its not da entire CR...

their "we're not negotiation" stance isn't holding water with da public...its da president's job to cross da aisle and negotiate.

The GOP doesn't want to negotiate. They want their way. Delaying the individual mandate is their final ditch effort to sabotage the ACA.

These mini bills are a ploy for the GOP to save face in the public. The programs that will cause them the most PR harm they are trying to fund.

Barry already covered this in his Q&A. The GOP is get desperate and hoping the public is too stupid to notice their tactics.

Some are too blind to see it....cough, cough.........but most will see through their BS.

And Obama is framing it perfectly. One faction, of one party, in one House is holding the country hostage because they can't handle not getting their way.

GOP doesn't even know what they want to negotiate...

It's bad when John McCain is considered 'moderate'.

He negotiated during the creation of the ACA... holding the nation hostage to delay a bill that's already been agreed on and found constitutional is is rediculous.

The GOP knows once the affordable care act is running it will be impossible to end because people will love it, this is just social security all over again.

im sure da kiddies are RUNNING to pay 100's a month on something they dont feel they need...

Yes he does.

Actuaries priced the premiums with the assumption of a mandate and it tier increases in the coming years.

If they wasn't a mandate the prices would be higher which would cause less people to sign up. Without the premiums, which the mandate helps insure, the Obamacare falls flat on it's face and everyone will see it.

If you tell people "no mandate" then will say **** it, next year then, and the GOP will get to say "see no one even signed up, and premiums went up, Obamacare is a failure".

Like I said it is a ploy, the GOP and you have given no other reason to demand a delay other than "businesses got one, why can't individuals"

The difference is the GOP knows that's not the real reason, but you believe it is.Stop it B

I still haven't heard the GOP reason why the individual mandate should be delayed. I mean I know the 'real' reason, but what is the GOP telling the people?
