So about the 3rd or so of May I FINALLY got a tattoo that I have been wanting for a while. Haven't got inked in like 7 or 8 years, i got this one on myforearm and the entire thing scabed over. i didn't pick it but eventually it started falling off and i put the curel the artist said on it like 4 or 5times a day for like a month, now the scab is all gone and it's about time to get touched up but the thing looks like one big scar outlined in black ink. So does this mean my skin just rejected the ink or did the artist do a bad job?? It doesn't look horrible but it's not as dark as i want and when youlook up close you can see the parts that look like a scar. so i'm wondering should i go back to the same person for touch up or did he jack it up and ishould find a better tattoo artist to touch it up??

. anyone think it can be fixed to look normal or am i kind of screwed with a badjob

I was told by the parlour i goto that if it scaps its most likely a bad job. But to be sure maybe u can get it checked ? maybe ur allergic to the ink?

I think the artist messed up and went too deep on your skin...a part of the sleeve of right arm looked like that for a while and took a long time for it tosettle...but after a good 2 months it started to look normal...i was kinda worried since, it didnt just like my other sleeve...but it worked out aite...exceptthe ink looks hella dark compared to the rest of sleeve.

it only "scaps" if you don't take care of it properly the week or so after you get it done.

this person might be allergic to the ink, but that reaction usually tends to manifest in a different way and it's usually immediate

don't pick at it, apply some kind of ointment a few times a day, but not so much that it doesn't breathe and heal quick.

what the hell is "scaps"?

OP - i think it is just the new skin that is developing, I don't think it calls for a concern. Is this your first tattoo?

I wanna say you will be fine because I believe mine did the same thing, it's just been so long since I've been tatted. Yeah you will be fine but ifit's not healed yet you shouldn't add to it.

no this is my 3rd I got my first on my calf when I was 18 and it didn't scab up at all and my 2nd was on my sholder blade shortly after and it hada very small amount of scabbing. My brother did them both and so this is the first one that someone at a shop did. but it started to scab like the nextmorning, that night after i took the cover off it was waaaaaay puffy and swollen. one of my friends was saying that my skin is "rejecting theink"????

there's absolutely no reason why your one month old tattoo should need retouching
if i was you i'd go to a different person .. even thoughit'll probably be cheaper/free to do to the same dude

this isn't the time to be though
