KNICKS BOOK HOLIDAY
By MARC BERMAN

The Knicks love UCLA freshman Jrue Holiday, but they didn't like his pre-draft workout June 10, when he got outplayed by Stephen Curry. So team president Donnie Walsh has succeeded in luring Holiday back to the team's Westchestercompound Monday for a second workout, according to a source.

Selecting No. 8 in Thursday's draft, the Knicks have narrowed their point-guard search to three guys: Curry, Memphis' Tyreke Evans and Holiday, in that order. There's a strong chance Curry andEvans will not be around at 8, and the Knicks have considered moving up.

The Knicks also are exploring buying another first-round pick from a team in the 20's, because they don't have a 2010 selection. Arizona power forwardJordan Hill also is in the mix if he drops to them at 8.

Holiday, 19, who didn't play point guard at UCLA because of teammate Darren Collison, has the most upside, but there are major concerns he will not make animpact as a rookie. During his Knicks workout, Holiday admitted he committed too many "stupid turnovers."

Nets president Rod Thorn, who worked out Holiday last week, told The Post,"He's a real good, young player, very athletic. He's 19 and didn't play point guard last year, but that's not to say he won't make animpact."

an WHY the *!@# am i hearing the Knicks being higher on dudes like Jrue Holliday and Tyreke Evans and even Jordan Hill over Flynn? I ucking swear my boy Flynnwill be a star and hed run the Knicks system and hes got that old school NY heart we lack as well. He adds to both categories. I swear if he is still on boardand we dont take him unless we take a guy like Curry or another stud instead or trade up or some %!$@, but if he is still on board and we take Jrue +@!#%%!Holliday so help me god.

Marc Berman adds Tyreke Evans in the mix and also adds thatthe Knicks are considering moving up. Yesterday nbadraft.net mentioned the Knicks using Wilson Chandler to moveinto Washington's 5th spot. When you consider that, had Chandler stayed in school at DePaul he would have been draft eligible this year and he'dprobably be a top 10 pick, so to get the 5th pick seems favorable. However, Chandler is established so you'd have to think that the Knicks would get morein return. But if what we are all hearing is accurate, and these are the Knicks targets, then you'd think they'd have to move up.

But my point is that if they move up. you'd have to think it would be for Rubio and it appears AW at Yahoo thinks the same way:
"…The Knicks want Stephen Curry and Curry wants them, but it's unlikely Walsh will move up from No. 8 to be sure they get him…"

Hmm, then who would they move up for?

The plot thickens.

I love Curry but Id be happy with Flynn as long as we dont trade Chandler to move up. We need to have something around Lebron if he comes to NY.

IF we do move up, why not actually try and get something that we need, like Thabeet at C ?

I'm starting to think Rubio falls to 5.

I would trade Chandler straight up for that pick.

Simply, cause Chandler and Gallo are both 3's. Ideally, Chandler should not ever play the 2.

Leaving the draft with say Rubio/Curry and Jordan Hill would be a pretty good night.

And if Will is indeed traded or even on the block..

that maybe a nice sign....cause there's another guy out there that plays the 3.

If they're trading Will to give Gallo time and Gallo busts I will be very livid. This Italian love affair of D'Antoni's is annoying.

you're probably the only dude that i agree with. i been saying this! only players the knicks should look into drafting out of this class are THABEET ORFLYNN. CURRY IS NOT GOING TO BE GREAT. he isn't explosive. not great passing wise. GREAT SHOOTER though. thabeet is going to be GREAT on the defensive end.flynn is going to be GREAT running the offense in our system.

I SWEAR TO GOD IF THE KNICKS TRADE ILL WILL

i think i'd accept the trade ONLY if we get flynn or thabeet out of the deal

why dont we try to trade chandler for the 3rd or 4th pick? If we do trade chandler for 5th pick 'll be mad but eventually get over it haha. We can use thatto get harden (good chance he'll be available) and use our pick to get flynn. We'll be LUCKY if rubio falls to 5, but i heard that sacremento will bedrafting flynn. as for gallo, we need to keep him. he will not succeed anywhere else and i doubt he'll be a bust in a knick unform. this is the season hehas to show us why we drafted him (he'll probably be a starter or get 30 min a night). as long as we dont draft hill or jennings i'm fine
