I agree. Wife and I kept laughing at everything he did that episode. The Eric episode is my favorite episode of the show so far.
I think they wanted to add more comedy to the show. He was dumb when he was the "cool" older brotherI agree. Wife and I kept laughing at everything he did that episode.
Was there any reason why he turned dumb in Boy Meets World? He used to be the 'cool' older brother.
I'm not sure it will succeed on the same levels as BMW. With the show telling the main story, along with the back story of Corey and BMW...I don't think the show would last too long. 4-5 seasons?don't watch the new show, but i want it to succeed of the strength of what BMW meant to me
lol, that's true.I think they wanted to add more comedy to the show. He was dumb when he was the "cool" older brother

Feeny sexually assaulted him and scarred him for life. No one can convince me otherwise.
Allow me to explain:
OK, during the first 4 seasons of Boy Meets World, Eric Matthews (Cory's older brother) is "portrayed as suave and popular, this contrasts with Cory, who has trouble finding his niche in school."(quoted from the Wikipedia Description of Eric Matthews). But after the 4th season, "Eric's character devolves from a suave elder brother to an irrational moron serving as comic relief." (also quoted from the Wiki Character Description).
My question is...what caused this drastic change? My solution is that in episode 79, Eric Matthews suffered Brain Damage due to a blow to the head.
.
In episode 79 ("Easy Street"), Eric takes his crush, the wilderness savvy Loni, on a road trip to see her family during Christmas. They stop on the side of the road when she tells him she has a "powerful feeling", which (of course) Eric thinks is her way of telling him she wants him; what is actually is is a blizzard (as I said before, she's very wilderness savvy). They become trapped in the car under 5 feet of snow. When Eric panics, he tells her "it's my responsibility to protect you and protect you I will!", then begins to ram his shoulder repeatedly against the door in an effort to bash his way out...instead of making it out of the car, he accidentally smashes his head against the window and blacks out.
10 minutes into the episode later (I'm watching it right now), Mr. And Mrs. Matthews answer the door to see Loni carrying Eric over her shoulder. He's no longer unconscious, but completely delirious and...to be honest...he begins to act exactly the way his character acts after he moves in with Jack (like a "irrational moron).
After episode 79, Eric's character completely devolves into the goofy, idiotic, and complete opposite that he was in the previous seasons. He sometimes acts almost too stupid for words...though other times his previous intelligence seems to shine through (though it still comes out in a childish and humorous manner).
Go ahead and ask the question fam
Maybe eric was puttin the work on Feeny and had to play dumb to avoid suspicion
Interesting. lol. I just thought there was a clearer reason why his personality changed..
Oh man, I never knew that!I'm pretty sure Turner squeezed Shawn's hands at the hospital to signify he was going to make it, this was during the cult episode. Also during graduation, they made a quick joke about Turner going to the other side of Adams High where Minkus was also hidden away at for all those years.

Lol, yeah. This seems to be the reunion of BMW.Damn, Harley is back too? Then Turner?
Looks like they're going to bring everybody back for season 2.
Danny McNulty, who played Harley Keiner, was replaced by Kenny Johnston in the episode Wrong Side of the Tracks, with no explanation given. However, after the episode Girl Meets Flaws (from the first season of Girl Meets World) aired, McNulty revealed that he was bipolar and had a breakdown during the middle of an episode, and therefore his character was replaced by Johnston for one episode before the show explained that Keiner had gone to reformatory school. After McNulty was better, he came back for one last appearance in BMW as Harley, with his character having escaped from reform school.
