Sad, but the parents should have realised how dangerous that was. The general rule down here is always assume there is a gator in any body of freshwater you encounter.

Man....sister has been talking about going to Disney Florida with my 7 and 9 yr old nephews for a month now
I keep telling her to stay in California because its cheaper.
We'll see. She wants to go during Christmas time so I guess that would be better climate wise. Meanwhile, I've been telling her to settle for Universal Studios Hollywood since its only 20 minutes away.tell them to take them bro. These are isolated incidents. Orlando is typically safe. You don't see or hear of gators eating children often. This is just an unfortunate event. Just tell her to wait until september. GOAT time for the parkss.

Thanks for the info man, gonna pass that on to her tomorrow.Right. But its kind of chilly in December. It's a terrible time for the parks though because all of the kids are on vacation so their families go there at that time. Hours and hours of wait time to get on rides. The temperature is great in september and the parks are empty because the kids there go back to school in august and the rest go back after labor day, so its like a ghost town during the week. Just some thoughts to pass along.
alligators and crocodiles are so fascinating to me though. They really are mini dino's. Very interesting creatures.
