as much as it pains me to do this but we have a grade A scammer among us bros. he's not a scammer in the tradition sense but he's trying to back out of paying a bet he lost.
Back when the MVP talks was heating up between Curry and Harden, awwsome claimed that Harden has it in the bag after a good game. I disagreed and thought it was foolish for him to think so. We placed a friendly gentlemen bet of $150 and loser was supposed to paypal the winner. Antidope even volunteered to be the middleman between us, to collect the money from the loser and pay the winner. After Curry was announced the MVP, I asked awwsome when he was going to pay up and told me he got me during the finals. After G1 last night, I pm'ed him regarding the bet again. After a while of him not replying to my pm but instead replying to the NBA final thread multiple times, I asked him in the thread to check his inbox because i didn't want to put his business out like that. He just flips out, tries to switch everything up and it looks appears like he doesn't have the intentions of paying up.
To me, it's not even about the $150, it's more about the principles. Now, he's lying and putting words in my mouth, playing the victim and tries to present me as the scum for asking for the money. He feels that since we didn't put any money up in the beginning the money, I shouldn't feel entitled to it. I volunteered to match the $150 he owes me and use that $300 total to donate to a NT charity.
You might think it's foolish to take a bet online to heart but a number of folks in the thread takes it seriously and pay up when they lose. I trusted him because i thought he was a good poster and has been here for 7 years. My sn is 10 years old, if I lost I would have paid up because I don't want to tarnish my sn and/or create a new one to save face.
