FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Red Hook neighborhood seems kinda fun. Looks like it had some other cool bars/restaurants. Like the port feel. Seems different from most other areas.

Good neighborhood to live in?
Not bad. Pricey, but that’s everywhere in Brooklyn. Also limited subway access in comparison to other neighborhoods.

Tip game on point. . .

Curry chicken.

Forgot to add in the picture but I added all purpose seasoning and one maggi cube. I don’t like vegetable chunks in certain stews so I blended everything up to make a curry paste.

Beautiful.

But

1. Why did you keep the chickens whole?

2. You normally Use boneless thighs? Easily the best for curries.

1. No specific reason. The end result is usually so tender I don’t bother cutting it up.

2. I usually use a whole chicken. I was going to use wings but they were out, and I didn’t want to use breast or drumsticks so thighs was the go to. Didn’t know thighs were considered the best for curried but it turned out well so I can believe it.

Yea, the thighs are undefeated man. Good thickness and fat.

Stewing wings would be a waste of wings and money.

Plus skinned chicken in stews is :emoji_frowning2:

When watching recipes, I usually see people leave skin on. You gotta get a hard sear if you do that. It’s not for me though.
