FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Speaking of ice cream cake I still need to get that strawberry shortcake joint. I see it Walmart all the time.

I love a good poundcake with buttercream icing. The basic cakes at the grocery store arent on that level though for sure. Ice cream cake is usually the go-to in my house though.

Nothing beats the $17 Costco sheet cake and all it's HFCS/preservative glory that can feed an army :lol

So bad, but one of my favorite cakes...OD frosting, tho... :lol

I put a tin pan with water in the oven to create humidity, so they wpuldnt dry out.

Came out good.

I had no type of sauce for them though

I feel gross after wating half a slice. The chocolate cake they have is great but is huge and my fam never finishes it.

GTA 809 GTA 809 martha’s in Forest Hills? Their baked goods are hit or miss to me. However, when on point, it’s exceptional.

Posting this video in relation to the grilled cheese vs melt sandwich discussion.

I once had a carmelized onion and mushroom grilled cheese due to poverty reasons and that **** was fire. I dont eem know why but it was.

Peel, cut, brush olive oil on each piece cook at 450 for about 10/15 mins or till they soften. Smash/flatten cook for another 10 mins.

Ahhhhhhh! Appreciate this. My son is craving plantain chips but I’m not a fan of all the oil I use to fry them. This is a great option. Do you add a dash of salt?

I don't like frosting so I avoid cake with frosting. I just buy a box cake for around $1 and make it plain (although I put in walnuts).

I like Cheesecake Factory carrot cake but the frosting is OD.

For sauce I sometime mix ketchup, mayo, and hot sauce.
