FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Had a cheese steak and tomato pie pizza at this pizza place in NJ... Mad good... The cheese steak was good but the bread was just too doughy was my only complain... Definitely top 5 on my list though

Omakase for my wife’s 30th at Otaka in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores. Got caught up in the moment and missed taking photos of 2 courses.

I’m interested in doing something like this. Did this fill you up? Always worries I might be starving after. Food looks good.

He does good reviews but dont like him cuz he was hating on this one nj spot because they aint roll out the red carpet for him... this guy did a good review on this spot so I wanted to go today...

If you are talking about tasting menus then yes - they always fill me up. Don’t let what might seem like petite portions fool you. Also, the spacing out of the courses plays a factor too (at least for me). Once you get into 4-5+ courses then there is no doubt imo.

Doubles are the best. I try to get them every day when I’m down in Trinidad. Prices down there come out to about $1 per double converted. Up here I can’t find them for less than $4-$5 per

Went to my favorite & Queens NY's best 🇦🇫 spot with my boy earlier for lunch. Saw they got this new beverage in their fridge that I've never seen before so had to try it. It was surprisingly good & refreshing...I thought it would taste a bit more basil-ish but that wasn't the case.

At this spot, they were $6 each. My Trini friend says that’s mad expensive. It seems that way but it’s fire.

I was full for sure. Had a couple cocktails with it as well. The food was paced well and portions were good for the number of courses.

The only tasting menus I've ever come away hungry from have been gastronomy ones. Other than that, it's always enough food.
