This topic has come up a few times in here. Most people in here do wash their poultry before cooking it. But some don’t because there’s science backing up that it’s not absolutely necessary. The heat from the cooking is going to be enough to kill most pathogens, even if the meat isn’t washed.
And also evidence that washing it is worse - by both spreading germs around your kitchen and washing it into parts of the meat that it wouldn't usually be in.
