FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

 @ the cops poor attempt to trick and arrest gim.

Dude is super stupid for calling them
That reminds me of when I went to the Police station/court house to try to beat this rolling stop ticket. They had a sign and a window that says Go here to check if you have warrants then in smaller, almost sarcastic font like comic sans it says we wont arrest you and has a smiley face

Anybody who goes up to that clerk and ask her to run your **** deserves to be arrested when it comes back positive because i dont believe for one second theyre gonna tell you yea you got an active warrant have a nice day and let you walk out of there.

Is Shake Shack a better quality place in NY than it is in California?

Cuz yall can't be serious

The Shack Stack > anything In n Out has and it aint even close. Had In n Out a few times out there in Cali and it was good but "just another burger".

Anak I don’t want to get non peaceful here

But did you just basically say that an overpriced mediocre burger with a fried mushroom on it from shake shack defeats the glory of in n out’s signature price, quality, and perfect grilled onions?

And the pic has them elementary school crinkle fries too? Are those frozen or never frozen?

Yes, and objectively its not even close. Its food, idc whos better whos from which coast blah blah, imma just call it how my taste buds call it.. I gave In n Out a few tries whenever I was over there and while it wasnt bad, I honestly think Shake Shack is better. If there were next to each other and I wanted a burger, 9/10 times id get a Shack Stack without a 2nd thought.

Opinion respected.

As I’ve stated in this thread before I’ve had shake shack and thought it was a good burger, the meat was tender but there was literally nothing special about it. I walked away sad I spent as much as I did for what I got.

I’d rather drop more $ and get 5 Guys than get shake shack, if I’m not gonna just get in n out.

But have you had the Shack Stack? I had 5 Guys a few weeks ago cause I havenet had in a while and same thing, it was a good burger but "just another burger". The fries I was impressed cause I didnt finish em and just had em in the bag, 5 hours later back at the crib I was like hmm wonder how these fries are and they were banging af even cold. Didnt even warm em up.

Breakfast at The Friendly Toast. Had the fried cheese-stuffed jumbo tots with Vermont cheddar cheese sauce, caramelized onions, sriracha glaze & scallions for appetizer. Went with an omelet for main course. Put tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms & cheddar cheese on it.

My brother & his wife got pancakes & some other dish. For lunch it was pizza at Essex Pizza. Got a green peppers & onion pie & also plain. Pizza was pretty good & reminded us of Singa's Famous taste wise.

Dessert at Holycow- pint of Boston Cream. So damn good. They add pieces of pound cake to it & it works pretty well. Salem has been a fun-filled town thus far. Pics of the Witch House & Salem Witch Museum which we'll be checking both of out tomorrow.

I remember seeing that 30 for 30 where cops created an elaborate setup in the 80's pretending to offer dudes with warrants free ******** tickets.

I respect your loyalty to in n out spike. Its on par with stone colds loyalty to RR

Gonna be in Boston this Wednesday for a few hours somebody recommend me a spot to spend this per diem in. I know a nter owns a restaurant and donut shop up there maybe try them out if I’m not too far away
I'm going to be there Wednesday too, can't wait! First time in Boston? If you like pizza- Regina's/Santarpio's are both great. I'll be trying a new spot called Florina this time around. Checkout Quincy Market for a lively vibrant scene with good eats & cool shops. Mike's Pastry for some delicious desserts if you're into that.

For touristy stuff: JFK Presidential Library/Mapparium/Boston Common park/USS Constitution ship & museum/Freedom Trail/Fenway Park/Bunker Hill/Acorn Street & so much more.

what are some must hit spots in Philly? you're getting reported if you say Pats or Genos.
Philly is such an awesome city. One of my absolute fave cities to visit. I go at least twice a year. Here's a list of my recs:

The Mütter Museum at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia. 19 S 22nd St, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Museum of medical oddities & a lot of cool stuff to see.

Elfreth's Alley Museum 126 Elfreth's Alley, Philadelphia, PA 19106. One of America's oldest continuously inhabited residential streets with old-school architecture & brick roads. Makes for a good 10-15 minutes stop & take some cool pics.

Betsy Ross House 239 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Seamstress and flag-maker Betsy Ross lived here when she is said to have sewed the first American Flag.

Independence Hall 520 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106. US Declaration of Independence & US Constitution were signed here. Very cool & historic building.

Eastern State Penitentiary 2027 Fairmount Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19130. Historic former prison. Al Capone was a famous convict here.

Philadelphia's Magic Gardens 1020 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19147 a non-profit organization, folk art environment, and gallery space on South Street. Makes for some really nice pictures.

Spruce Street Harbor Park 301 S Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19106. An urban park located in Penn's Landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Open during the summer, the place features a boardwalk along the Delaware River with a beachfront atmosphere & cozy hammocks.

Saad's Halal Restaurant 4500 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19139. An all-halal restaurant with AMAZING cheesesteaks. The chicken maroosh sandwich is good too as well as their fries & onion rings.

Reading Terminal Market 1136 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19107. An OG food market in Philly with over 100 food vendors. Try Beiler's for their fresh specialty donuts/The Dutch Apple for their fresh apple dumpling desserts/Louisiana Kitchen for authentic po'boys & Cajun cooking/The Famous 4th Street Cookie Company for their freshly baked cookies.

Federal Donuts 1909 Sansom St Near Rittenhouse Square. Warm and fresh famous Philly donut chain

The Franklin Fountain 116 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Made from scratch & in-house Ice cream in an old-school ice cream parlor building. Ice cream is put into cute little Chinese takeout style containers. It's a bit pricey but in my opinion worth it. They have a lot more than just ice cream too.

Center City Pretzel Co 816 Washington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19147. Bakery making hand-twisted soft pretzels, braided loaves & pretzel rolls, all kosher, plus sauces. You'll love their soft baked pretzels here. They are .35 cents a pop & their hours are I believe 6am-11am so get there early.

Lorenzo and Sons Pizza 305 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19147. Known for their giant slices. Good 1 time try. As good as a giant pizza slice can possibly be.

PIZZA Shackamaxon 115 E Girard Ave #3907, Philadelphia, PA 19125. They claim to have "America's best pizza" here but it's far from that, lol. However, it is still pretty decent pizza just not America's best, lol.

If I remember anything else I'll let you know. Have fun & enjoy your trip to Philly. It's truly one of America's great cities with amazing energy & so much to explore.
