FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

I feel like people be puttin guac on things that really don’t need it or benefit from it.

I’m sure guac on a hotdog isn’t terrible, but it’s 100% not needed.

Hot take, but I feel the same way about it on a burger. Guac on a burger just is really never needed or desired for me.

Noticed I’m staying blocks away from a michelin guide mexican restaurant in harlem. Gonna give them a shot this weekend

my store has avocado spread right next to guacamole. they look the same and im not sure the difference but avocado spread tasted better

Can't say i've had it with a hot dog, but growing up we typically had avocado (pear) with nearly every dinner. It goes just fine with many things.

I turn my nose up now to the big green pear ever since my wife introduced me to hass avocado. Always thought the hass were spoiled when I saw them in the supermarkets based on the color. Can’t tell when last I had the “pear” version. Every meal growing up there was pear on the plate.

Funny enough sometimes I have a light allergic reaction to the Hass avocados now vs the smooth skin pears.

You guys ever had those avocados that are like 5x the size? I saw them in Hawaii growing. Probably have them in places in Asia too.

Imagine never having Mexican food.

The things I take for granted.

Honestly its very underappreciated but at at the same time im always hesitant on going to a Mexican restaurant as my first choice, I always try to get something else instead. Its hard for me to find a BANGIN Mexican spot, its always good for sure, but never like "wow".

They were everywhere in Colombia. Every spot we'd have lunch or dinner at they'd bring you plate of avocados like it was bread lol

I feel like ny isn’t really the spot for Mexican food. Kind of like Florida. Not enough Mexican people. Midwest and west is full of fire Mexican food.

I had a ton of Mexican food when I was in LA for a month last year, and truthfully the only spot to wow me was Gracias Madre and they are vegan Mexican.

Not sure how you left out the south...all the border states are flourishing.

Texas is Texas

Az and nm sw

California is west

That’s how I see it at least. I know Texas is geographically the south but somewhere like Texas, Arkansas or Oklahoma is worlds away from what I think the south is like Tennessee or South Carolina.

what states have the worst Mexican food?

I’ve had good Mexican food all over the Midwest and the states we’re talking about.
