FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

I have a lot of different schnitzel and it's all been pretty much the same.
Mid.

I love me some bratwurst though

Yea I'm not sure how I feel about a lot of traditional German food. It tastes very acidic to me. I do love their sausages though (pause).

Everyone post the most expensive meal they have on their phone

I spent about 500 at a restaurant on Friday. This Wagyu strip alone cost 95.

Make fun of me, laugh at me, call me a peasant or a poor or whatever, but I cannot envision a reality where I'm ever in a position to spend even $100 on a single plate of food. Even if I were a millionaire, I could never.

i get it. i mean, i occasionally love an expensive meal, but no matter how wealthy i would become, my favorite meals would still be basic things...pizza, burgers & fries, mexican food, etc. the best part of expensive meals for me has always been the company, experience, ambiance v the actual food

I'm with you.

Unless it is a prefixed price for a wedding plate or whatever but going out and ordering AYE dish that expensive? Nah, for what?

I blame my bougie *** wife. This wasn't a special occasion, she guilted me into doing it because she thinks i don't treat myself and "live it up" enough. I told her our next food outings are going to be fast food places.

I ate ramen from the pot this morning

This thread is full of foodies so I figured there was bound to be some people that dropped bread for food.

To be clear, you don’t have to spend a lot to eat good.

I think these tacos were $1 each

Nah I feel you. I think the most expensive single plate I’d pay for is a wagyu ribeye.. other than that there’s not much I’d want to experience for that much $

Honestly Kobe/Wagyu is really rich. I wouldn’t recommend eating a steak bigger than the palm of your hand. It’s basically like eating fat.

Questioning the amount of meat I can handle eh?

Nah jk I didn’t even think of that. Leftovers I guess could happen? Idk

I wasn't a big fan of the wagyu to be honest. I preferred the filet mignon. I don't eat steak often and I agree the smaller cuts seem to taste better. I'd never get a 32 Oz porterhouse which these Italian meat heads that sat next to us got. Too much steak gives me the meat sweats.

Wagyu is just the variety of cow I believe, where and how it’s raised also matters. Not all Wagyu is equal.

I’m more of a share a steak than eat my own steak type person these days.

The one I got was Japanese A5. I don't even know what that means.

The meat was Hella buttery and tender. Those cows definitely lived the good life lol.

yeah if you see the cut before they cook its almost all white with some pink

it's tasty for a few bites but if i'm having an entire steak, i rather have a normal ribeye
