oxtails are expensive nowGrowing up in the south I always viewed ox tails as a soul food staple. Then my mom told me when she was a child all poor people ate them because the meat markets sold them like scraps for cheap. As I got older and diversified my friends and places I learned that oxtails are a staple in a lot of cultures. I wish someone would find all the different culture specific types of them.
