Only the Red Octobers were selling for that much when they dropped. The fact that they lined up means it was for the plat or solars which were selling for I think $2-3k at first.

You consider its not 80hrs spent for 2 week but 14 days x 24 hrs and it really isn't a good deal.

$5000/336hr = $14.8/hr. $3000/336hr = $8.9/hr
I'm willing to bet quite a few people who have the brain power to sit in a line for two weeks straight were making below that at their minimum wage jobs at Mcdonalds and Aeropostale. I don't see many smart folks camping for that long for some plastic and suede. So it was "worth it" for some people. :rolleyes

Actually it's a bit lower. You have to factor in product cost, shipping, and PayPal fees (2.9%) plus 10% for ebay fees if sold on eBay. Flight club sales are a flat 20% I believe.

Jeez, Flight Club takes 20%??

Now I see why they keep stuff up at ridiculous prices now.

I'm not going at you personally or anything but its just crazy to me that the majority of sneakerheads don't know that flight club is a consignment shop but will use their prices as a baseline to resell or trade shoes.

Very true. Dudes stay citing FC prices.

I know it's a consignment shop. It's just crazy that dudes would rather try to sell through them if they take 20% of profits

Not really crazy at all to be honest.
FC attracts a certain type of customer as well as removes a lot of the stupidity that comes along with sales.

A lot of buyers buy scared these days. We just had a thread asking how can you guarantee the pair you get in the mail is the same pair the seller sends you in pics. Imagine having to prove that to the buyer.
Dudes will say your shoes aren't legit because the extra laces that come with your shoes were packaged right or will try and do chargeback a months later.

With FC, they sell your product... Send you a CHECK... And you keep it moving.

Trust me, it's no fun getting a chargeback months later. I had that happen to me on some shoes I sold for retail out of NT love. Cost me a $20 chargeback fee plus what I lost on PayPal and shipping on a $115 shoe just because the transaction said partially seller protected via paypal.

People will pay FC 5k for a yeezy faster than they will some dude on eBay or in person as well.

@bigj505   someone CB'd the admin? Shocking..

Its tough to trust eBay and somebody off the internet. I'd hate for someone to jip me outta $5k
the point that i would even think paying 5k for a shoe is insane.. 5k for a 12k Crown Itech Series amp.. yes.. Mac Pro.. yes.. 2 retina imacs yes.. bubble 96 impala ss.. heck yes!!

a pair of shoes that the rain can destroy or a black soled b oot can stain for good.. why even?

This is true and I agree. This happens with regular stuff as well. Legend blue XIs were selling for 500 right after release and I doubt many eBay or CL sellers got that much. That 20% eases the buyers AND sellers worry..

Repped for the 96 impala......but last time I checked, you aren't going to find too many that only go for 5 stacks.
